This meeting is part of program to learn the skills necessary to build a federal case piece. We are building a reproduction of the Townsend Document Chest step by step in order to learn these skills. Skills include case construction, drawer construction, drawer fitting, joinery, carving moulding, carving both concave and convex shells, creating block fronts, turning feet, using Hide Glue, Shellac finishing, etc.

This is a multi-part program which will last for approximately 10 sessions - 1 every other month or for 20 months. The first meeting was on December 3, 2011

Meetings will be held at Al Breed's shop. The address is 1 Front Street, Rollinsford NH. The shop is on the second floor of the mill building. Take the stairs up one short and one long flight to the second floor. Go down the hall to your left until it ends, take a left and follow that hall to the end.

There is no cost for the program. Registration is required.

When: The meeting will be held December 1. Meetings start at 8:30 for social conversation and coffee. The actual meeting starts at 9:00 AM and end at 12:00 noon.

Bring chairs if you would like to sit.
